Craig Rainey – the Music Man
Craig Rainey was a professional drummer early on. His final and most noteworthy role was drummer/vocalist with James Robert Murray’s AntHill Society. In addition to the percussion duties he also co-produced two of the band's albums.
Short of the Blues – Give the Girl a Ride
While in studio recording Short of the Blues, their second album, Jim Murray wrote Give the Girl a Ride. Producer, Gary Hickenbotham, came back from lunch to hear the band working on the new song before recording continued. Gary asked what the song was. Jim told him it was something he was working on. Gary insisted the band record it and it became the final track on that album. Below is a music video Craig Rainey put together from the studio session.
The award winning band produced two albums and was featured at South by Southwest two years running.
